1) I happened to watch a high school basketball video that seems to have become viral. This video was taken by a person who was very concerned about flagrant fouls not being called by the refs. Boy was he right on! This video stars, who I believe is one of the biggest goons in high school basketball, #34 Cole Vanderbilt of Connell High in the state of Washington. The first thing you notice is that this kid is huge, very huge compared to all of the other kids on the floor. There were six fouls highlighted, all by Connell High, in this video. Mr. Vanderbilt had four of them and I must say all were of the very violent variety. This kid hacked away at the opposition more than a lumberjack with an axe in a forest. I was surprised that no one got hurt by this moron. Now some of you may feel that I am a bit harsh in calling this kid a moron but just see the video if you can. This kid should not being allowed on the court again.
2) I was watching the telly last night and I saw a commercial for "The General" car insurance. It featured the 'General' playing football. What I noticed right off the bat is that the General has a much better throwing technique than Bronco's QB Tim Tebow. Tim should watch the General throw. Maybe he could learn a thing or two from him besides getting cheap insurance.
3) It is now day five of the great blackout by MSG. The next Sabre game to be blacked out is tomorrow. I don't even have the Rochester Amerks as an option this weekend as they are away. Jeez!!! It will be interesting to see if the Amerk's attendence jumps now that the Sabres are not on the tube.
4) The weathermen struck again. They predicted 5-9 inches of lake effect snow Monday overnight into Tuesday. Well, we got maybe an inch. Even in this rather warm, so far, winter of 2011-12 they still prove time after time that they do not have a clue. It is January fifth and I still haven't used my snowblower yet. Last year at this time it was almost burnt out from all of the white crap. So far this has been one hell of a nice winter. Maybe Mother Nature is making amends for the crappy spring we had last year.
Well, my two typing fingers are starting to wear out so I guess I will call it a night. Remember, stay away from tobacco and alcohol or you too may have to resign as Airport Director!!!! Good night my friends!!
